Things that BUG ME!
In this clip from today's Health Care Summit... like several of the exchanges, the President is not interested in talking about the facts, or the figures. He squirms and glares when the Republicans try to talk about facts and figures in his proposals. Obama is intentionally trying to belittle Senator McCain and rub it in his face that he lost the election... If he wants to buddy up to Senator McCain and call him John, then that's fine for when they're having a beer summit, but not for a formal event like this. If McCain had called the President by his first name Pelosi's face would have ripped open at the seams! Obama is such a condescending xxxx... the more...

Do you know about Presidential Executive Order 12425? You should... You better... EO: AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER 12425 DESIGNATING INTERPOL AS A PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including section 1 of the International Organizations Immunities Act (22 U.S.C. 288), and in order to extend the appropriate privileges, exemptions, and immunities to the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), it is hereby ordered that Executive Order 12425 of June 16, 1983, as amended, is further amended by deleting from the first sentence the words "except those provided by Section 2(c), Section 3, Section 4, Section 5, and Section 6 of that Act" and the semicolon...

I was never a Michael Jackson fan. That should come as no surprise to those who know me. Am I surprised by the cult-like media frenzy over his death? No. Even Fox News has been sloppy sick over his death. It's too bad that his life took the strange perverted twists that it did. Has everyone forgotten him holding his baby out over a balcony of a hotel with one hand? Has everyone forgotten he paid off a family to not pursue charges of child molestation to the tune of $25 million dollars? I could go on but you get the point. While I'm at it, I want to give a Big Double Barreled Salute to Republican New York Congressman...

Alamance County, NC Board of Commissioners Facing 3rd 287(g) Resolution Rossi Rides Again If you've read my previous post: Alamance: 287g Battleground. Burlington, NC you know that we're having kind of a showdown here about illegal immigration and the top-notch enforcement of the 287(g) program by our Sheriff, Terry Johnson. After the Board of Commissioners passed a resolution to support Sheriff Terry Johnson's 287(g) illegal immigration enforcement program, a local attorney, Ebher Rossi ask the board if they would consider a resolution supporting the equal protection clause of the United States Constitution. This clause in Section 1 of the 14th Amendment states that no state shall "deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." According...

Burlington, NC Newspaper Sends Registered Sex Offender Peter Schumacher to Schools to Photograph Students If you read much of this blog, you'll know that I have lost a lot of respect for my home town newspaper, The Burlington Times-News. They consistently show bias in their reporting. They are very much in favor of letting the illegal immigrants have run of Alamance County and try every chance they get to make Sheriff Terry Johnson or his organization look bad. They are in cahoots with other liberal people and organizations to make the Sheriff back down on his top-notch enforcement of the 287(g) program. On Friday, April 24th, 2009, The Burlington Times-News Chief Photographer, Peter Schumacher, was arrested for being at Western...

Black and White. Photo by Lee Hinshaw Let me start off by saying I'm not racist. However, according to the current political standards, I must be. From the start of this Presidential campaign, I've complained that you can't say anything negative or question anything about Barack Obama without someone saying you're racist. For this simple reason alone, Barack Obama has been able to run an unfair campaign. I am not alone in this quandary. I was recently listening to a stand-up comic talking about the current state of political correctness. He said that he constantly sees white people afraid to laugh at jokes he tells about black people, until the white people see that black people in the audience are...

Steven Spielberg and his wife, Kate Capshaw donated $100,000 to fight overturning of the court decision in California that legalizes same-sex marriage. California Proposition 8, or the Marriage Protection Act, will be on the ballot in November and, if passed, will amend the California state constitution to limit marriage to a man and a woman. Brad Pitt donated the same amount to the same cause last week. What a huge waste. I'm sure everything over there on the left coast is so fine and dandy that there is absolutely no need for anything more pressing. No charities in need of funds. No hungry children. No sick children. No abandoned children. No orphans waiting on adoption. No abused women or...

My local paper, The Burlington, NC Times-News has become a pro-Hispanic, pro-illegal-immigrant paper. It seems that every day now they have an article or two, sometimes more on the subject. Usually either written by or contributed to by Keren Rivas. I assume that she's a new reporter with the paper but I really don't know. However, there are a few other reporters that take the same pro-illegal-immigrant view point as she does. Most of these articles are front page articles as well. Last week, the N.C. State Highway Patrol stopped a Mexican bus that was leaning to one side as it traveled Interstate 85. There were several people on the bus who were in the country illegally. The bus driver...

I read a few reviews of Will Smith's new movie Hancock. I doubt I'll go see it after reading the reviews, but in general, I like his movies, he's a good actor. One thing struck me as I was reading the reviews, the writers kept talking about race. They said his character in Hancock represents Smith's own struggles and conflicts of being a successful black actor. That his Hancock character has to be twice as good, because he's black, and they infer that Smith's rise to stardom has been the same. They say that Smith transcended his race and that race is transparent in the characters he plays. So which is it? You can't have it both ways. Most...

Some things you just don't mess with... mama, Iwo Jima, Clint Eastwood, Andy Griffith, the facts about history, John Wayne, and Jonny Cash. Politically Correct and Clint Eastwood don't mesh. I'm glad. Thank God some things are stable and you can actually count on them. Some people, like Spike Lee, like to throw stones and stir things up. He's also a Barack Hussein Obama supporter so you know I don't like him too much. Clint Eastwood recently directed two movies, Letters from Iwo Jima and Flags of Our Fathers. It seems that Spike prompted reporters to ask Clint why he didn't include any blacks in these two films about Iwo Jima. Mr. Eastwood responded by saying that he was...

Steve Pavlina is a smart man. He's owned a successful software company and has now, for several years, authored a successful and profitable blog focused on Personal Development for Smart People. Steve has authored long posts in the past dealing with all types of things from ending dependence on caffeine, forming good habits, to public speaking. He has volumes of posts on consciousness and awareness. Some of his ideas are far out, like Lucid Dreaming for instance, but some offer good solid ideas and advice. Until now. On May 27th Steve posted a rant titled "10 Reasons You Should Never Have a Religion". To be honest, this article seems like it's a deliberate attempt to create controversy: which is a...

Tell Congress that America needs secured borders. Alert: The man honored by the shrine to Jesus Malverde in Culiacan, so often packed with locals, is no ordinary Mexican saint Malverde was a Sinaloan bandit who has been adopted as a kind of a patron saint by the northern province's drug traffickers. Sinaloa is the cradle of Mexico's narco-trafficking industry, producing the majority of the nation's drug kingpins in recent decades. Their number includes such storied figures as Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo, who ran the Guadalajara Cartel and ordered the savage killing of a DEA agent; Amado Carrillo Fuentes, alias "The Lord of the Skies," who died in plastic surgery while attempting to change his appearance; and the Arellano Felix...

I read in a news release today that Josef Fritzl says he's no monster. He says that he saved their lives (referring to his captive daughter and incestuous children/grandchildren), that he could have killed them all and no one would have known. In case you don't know Fritzl is the 73 year old monster who kept his daughter locked in his basement for 24 years from the the time she was 18. Not just that, he constantly raped her and fathered 7 children with her. Three of the children remained in the basement prison, three were removed and adopted by Fritzl as his grandchildren, and one died and he burned the body. One of the imprisoned children, 19, is in...

Above is an ad that Absolut Vodka ran in Mexico. Too bad I don't drink, otherwise I would have the pleasure of pouring some down the drain! Below is the Reuters news report.. MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - The distillers of Sweden's Absolut vodka have withdrawn an advertisement run in Mexico that angered many U.S. citizens by idealizing an early 19th century map showing chunks of the United States as Mexican. The billboard ad has the slogan "In an Absolut World" slapped over a pre-1848 map showing California, Arizona and other U.S. states as Mexican territory. Those states were carved out of what had been Mexican lands until that year. Although it was not shown in the United States, U.S....

We should all be shocked and outraged by this treatment of our injured military personal: http://www.thenation.com/doc/20070409/kors. It's a long article that details an investigation into the military tricking injured soldiers into taking a Chapter 5-13 personality disorder for pre-existing condition discharge and thereby loosing their medical benefits... all to save the military money because they don't have to provide medical care to soldiers discharged with a pre-existing personality disorder. Soldiers discharged under Chapter 5-13 can't collect disability pay. Also, if a soldier dismissed under Chapter 5-13 hasn't served out his contract, he has to give back part of his re-enlistment bonus. That amount is often larger than the soldier's final paycheck. We should do all we can to bring this...

It's been a while, OK, it's been a LONG time since I've posted anything, but that does not mean I no longer care about this issue. Quite the opposite. Below is an email that I received at an email address I have that is "Hispanic friendly"... in other words I've gotten on email lists that get pro immigration emails. The email below really makes me mad. I think we should do our best to shut this thing down. Until next time, Recoil Below is the email: Subject: Stop breaking up our families! A call to reunite Hola all: Thousands of hard working immigrants are being deported by ICE. The constitutional and civil rights of thousands of immigrants are violated. Thousands...

May 1st came and went. Depending on who you are and where you live, the impact of the "Day without Immigrants" varied from something in the news, to noticeable, to a major event. From my office windows, I could see a buildup starting around the Court House late in the afternoon. By the time I left work, there was a pretty good sized crowd. I found it puzzling that they chanted in Spanish... from what I've read, this was not the case everywhere... if they wanted me to listen, they should have chanted in English. Walking to the parking lot to go home, listening to the chants in the background, passing Hispanic people walking towards the demonstration, all wearing white...
