(click for larger image) Barak and Associates: In 1996, 3 of the 4 candidates endorsed by the New Party won their electoral primaries. The three victors included Barack Obama (in the 13th State Senate District), Danny Davis (in the 7th Congressional District), and Patricia Martin, who won the race for Judge in the 7th Subcircuit Court. All four candidates attended an April 11, 1996 New Party membership meeting to express their gratitude for the party's support. Most New Party members hailed from the Democratic Socialists of America and the militant organization ACORN. The party's Chicago chapter also included a large contingent from the Committees of...

I've encouraged you many times to call, email, or write your elected officials. We must do this now, today, do not wait. I've done it again today. Below is a sample letter you can use if you can't get going on the wording. Replace the parts in [brackets] and edit to make it yours. Congressman/Congresswoman/Senator [Their Name]; Please vote NO on Obama's Health Care Reform. Vote NO on Reconciliation, or as Obama is calling it now, "Up or Down Vote" . We, the American People do NOT want Health Care Reform. We do NOT want the government involved in our healthcare - period. We're tired of party-line voting that ignores the wishes of the people. We're tired of the huge...

My friend (let's call him Buckshot for now because he's not ready to reveal his secret identity just yet) who writes the Twitter feed for Double Barreled Opinions said he's considering leaving the country. I responded that if you do, they've won... he responded that they may already have won. Not yet they've not. I could quote a lot of famous people and some not so famous ones to try and inspire you to take action. But I'm not going to. I could quote some of the things that Rush said today, but I'm not going to... The facts alone should be enough to make a nun curse, to make school children cry and to make honest men and women...

In this clip from today's Health Care Summit... like several of the exchanges, the President is not interested in talking about the facts, or the figures. He squirms and glares when the Republicans try to talk about facts and figures in his proposals. Obama is intentionally trying to belittle Senator McCain and rub it in his face that he lost the election... If he wants to buddy up to Senator McCain and call him John, then that's fine for when they're having a beer summit, but not for a formal event like this. If McCain had called the President by his first name Pelosi's face would have ripped open at the seams! Obama is such a condescending xxxx... the more...

What if that plan included dividing Jerusalem and was embraced by our new president? What if that plan is seen as surrender and weakness, and emboldens radical Islam? The Nancy Pelosi proposed auto industry bailout must be stopped. It's time for tough love. Sometimes you have say no. I think the financial bailout package was wrong and should not have been passed. I think it would be better to take a hard hit and get it over with rather than drawing it out and unfairly bailing out this or that business and not others. I think the people who had their hands all over the roots of the financial crisis such as Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and Nancy Pelosi and a host of others should be held accountable. Barney Frank Says Ignore Deficit and Tax, Tax, Tax. He'll be one of Obama's right-hand men too. This is scary and foreboding of things to come. Taken together with Obama's "share the wealth" comment, it should be taken as a warning shot over the bow of free enterprise. How stupid is Barney Frank? Off the scale. Barack Obama Joe Biden Please read Clayton's article. It's long, but a very eye-opening piece of information. By the way, Clayton is NOT a Republican or a Democrat. This whole financial crisis really chafes my biscuit. So what caused the problem? What exactly IS the problem anyway? What roles did Obama, McCain, and Hillary play in creating the mess find ourselves in today? Keep reading to find out... The very, very short answer to what caused this problem is GREED. There are a lot of highly educated, supposedly intelligent people who have done nothing but line their own pockets while putting the economy of the United States in the toilet. Several come to mind, like Bill Clinton's friend, the disgraced chief of Fannie Mae, Franklin Raines, who I read lined his pockets with more than $100 million while heading Fannie Mae. Ok, so the title of this article is not a direct quote from Joe Biden. However, Slow Joe spoke in Charlotte, NC on Sunday, 9-14-2008. He did say that electing a black person to the White House would be a transformative event in American politics and internationally. Biden put particular emphases on what it would mean to elect someone who is black. Black or White should not matter and should not be a reason for voting for someone, much less a platform to run on. What does it say about a candidate when the campaign message is "Vote for Me Because I'm Black"? Is that all they have left? There's also a big hole in that plea. Obama is...

I see a lot of black people driving cars with Obama bumper stickers. Don't get me wrong, I see non-black people with them too. However, I see a lot of black people with Obama bumper stickers; more than I think had presidential candidate bumper stickers in the last few elections. I realize that is a very unscientific calculation, but it's my gut feeling. It makes me wonder how many people plan on voting for Obama and are supporting Obama for the sole reason that he's black. Wait a minute... there's a problem with that... he's only half-black. Ok. I guess that's close enough, especially since he does not seem to like his white half very much. I'm very concerned...

As I promised in my last post regarding the Biased Reporting of the Burlington, NC Times-News newspaper, I'm posting the letter written by Keith Whited. Keith is running for District Court Judge here in Alamance County, NC. Times-News reporter Keren Rivas, who is evidently on a pro Hispanic, pro Illegal Immigrant rampage supported by the newspaper, pulled part of one sentence from Keith's letter and used it to write a front-page article against him. Not surprisingly, a lot of Rivas' rants end up on the front page. A little background: Keith Whited is also the Chairman of the Alamance County Board of Health. My local paper, The Burlington, NC Times-News has become a pro-Hispanic, pro-illegal-immigrant paper. It seems that every day now they have an article or two, sometimes more on the subject. Usually either written by or contributed to by Keren Rivas. I assume that she's a new reporter with the paper but I really don't know. However, there are a few other reporters that take the same pro-illegal-immigrant view point as she does. Most of these articles are front page articles as well. Last week, the N.C. Barack Hussein Obama is like a one-size-fits-all garment: he changes and stretches to get the vote. Or better yet, he's like a chameleon, constantly changing colors, view points, opinions, and history, to try and get votes. Take his stance on federal funding for his campaign. He originally promised to use federal funding, but later backtracked. Federal funding is part of the reform of campaign spending that, if I recall correctly, Obama wanted. In case you don't realize it, by agreeing to use federal funds, you are limited to how much you can spend on your campaign. Once Obama saw that his money raising potential far, far exceeded the federal funding limits, he quickly made up some excuses as to...

She's rushed to a south Texas hospital to undergo a C-section - a $4,700 medical procedure that won't cost her a dime. She qualifies for emergency Medicaid. She gave birth to a healthy, 8 1/2 pound baby boy - born in America. His Mexican mother gave him an American name: Eliot. Eliot is one of an estimated 300,000 children of illegal immigrants born in the United States every year, according to the Pew Hispanic Center. They're given instant citizenship because they are born on U.S. soil, which makes it easier for...

If the petition collects 218 House signatures, a simple majority, the bill can bypass the committee process and be placed on the House floor for a vote, regardless of any objections by Democratic leaders. Rep. Heath Shuler (D-N.C.) introduced the SAVE Act emphasizing the principles of Attrition Through Enforcement. The SAVE Act would: 1. increase border patrol agents by 8,000, utilize...

Tell Congress to Hold the Feds Accountable and Build the Border Fence. Alert: The Bush administration will use its authority to bypass more than 30 laws and regulations in an effort to finish building 670 miles of fence along the southwest U.S. border by the end of this year, federal officials said Tuesday. Invoking the two legal waivers which Congress authorized will cut through bureaucratic red tape and sidestep environmental laws that currently stand in the way of the Homeland Security Department building 267 miles of fencing in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, according to officials familiar with the plan. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to comment publicly about it....

"Transportation linking the United States, Mexico and Canada is key to the future of NAFTA," Eduardo Aspero, president of the Mexican Intermodal Association, told a recent luncheon sponsored by the Free Trade Alliance San Antonio. A brochure on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's website instructs Mexican truck drivers, "Did you know ... Bilderberg author who 1st exposed plot in 1996 sees EU replication as imminent Tell Congress YOU request Congressional Oversight on the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America instead of White House backroom deal-making. Alert: The next giant step toward world government will be integration of the U.S., Canada and Mexico in European Union-style merger in the next few years, says the author of a best-selling book on the power of shadowy international organizations promoting the move. "I would say [it's just] a couple of years away," reports Daniel Estulin, author of "The True Story of the Bilderberg Group." Estulin, a Canadian now living in Europe, says the original plans for a North American Union involved the U.S. and Canada...

Tell Congress to support the SAVE Act for border security and interior enforcement. Alert: Yesterday, Senators Mark Pryor (D-Ark.) and David Vitter (R-La.) introduced Senate versions of Rep. Heath Shuler's (D-N.C.) SAVE Act (Secure America with Verification Enforcement). Bill numbers and co-sponsorship lists are not available yet for the (2) Senate bills. Rep. Heath Shuler (D-N.C.) introduced legislation emphasizing the principles of Attrition Through Enforcement. The SAVE Act (H.R. 4088) will broaden and enhance border security and interior enforcement. With a number of border security Democrats and Republicans already agreeing to co-sponsor, this bipartisan effort may be Congress's best chance to achieve substantial immigration reform this Congress. The principle behind Attrition Through Enforcement is that living illegally in the United...

Tell Congress to support the SAVE Act for border security and interior enforcement. Alert: The much-awaited list of 101 bipartisan, original signers to the SAVE Act (Secure America with Verification Enforcement [H.R. 4088]) was revealed at a press conference last Tuesday by Rep. Heath Shuler (D-N.C.), the measure's author. FAXDC.com believes this bill originating on the Democratic side of the House is just the vehicle to give us a chance to actually pass immigration legislation through a Democratic-controlled Congress that would significantly improve the lives of most Americans. "It's the one [immigration] bill that will pass this Congress," said Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus Chairman Brian Bilbray (R-Calif.) in an interview with The Hill. "We have to make this about illegal...

Tell your Congressman to vote NO on the Law of the Sea Treaty!! The United Nations' Law of the Sea Treaty, a wide-ranging measure critics say will grant the U.N. control of the 70 percent of the planet under its oceans, is now headed to the full Senate for ratification. The measure passed the Senate Foreign Relations committee today by a 17-4 vote. "If you want a U.N. on steroids, you want the Law of the Sea Treaty," Sen. Trent Lott, R-Miss., has said. "I am absolutely convinced it undermines U.S. sovereignty." A two-thirds vote is required for approval, meaning only 34 "no" votes can kill it. This is not the first time LOST has come up. International negotiators drafted...

Safety equipment tab starts out at $367,000 Tell Congress to vote the Mexican Trucks out. Alert: The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has announced that U.S. taxpayers will be footing the startup costs of a program to install satellite tracking technology on vehicles taking part in the Mexican Truck Demonstration Program. The announcement confirmed the U.S. government would "initially spend approximately $367,000 to outfit all trucks from the United States and Mexico that take part in the program." According to the administration, "the decision to require the installation of satellite tracking technology on trucks in the program was made after members of Congress expressed a desire to know whether participants are complying with federal safety and trade laws." It is hard to fathom that our elected representatives will actually do what the majority of Americans want: to have the grit in their gut to protect this county as if they were standing on the front line in a battle, which they are and don't seem to realize... I read this article from the Pasadena Star and I think you should too. Seek unbiased info on immigration before forming opinions It's about a conversation with a Los Angeles taxi driver who emigrated here legally from Armenia. He did it the right way; however, the reporter writing this article needs to look up the work "illegal" in the dictionary. In case Ms. Tad Bartimus is reading this, that's the big...

The Senate passed the bill on Immigration Reform. It now goes back to the House. Do not give up. We must let the members of the House know what we want, and let the members of the Senate know how disgusted we are with them. Use this link to look up how your elected officials voted and thank them if they voted for the House's bill and against the Senate's bill - otherwise, let them have it. Please read the Thursday CAII wrap-up I just posted. There's a lot of very interesting information from the various blogs in the coalition. The first item from Wal-Mart - the Mexican Memorial Day flyer, and farther down where DeMediacraticNation says who's behind the...

I thought you would like to see a Texas Walmart's ad for Memorial Day. They also have Spanish broadcasts on screens, in their stores. Now I don't mind targeted advertising for groups, but at a time when we are having this debate on Illegal Immigration it is obvious what they are doing. Not to mention, what does this have to do with Memorial Day? Walmart's Feedback Form If you would rather not provide us with this information, you may call us at 1-800-WAL-MART (1-800-925-6278). Illegal Aliens Guilty of Sex Crimes. Here's a clipping from my local paper. Please read carefully, especially the last line where is states both men are illegal aliens. This underscores why we need to control the borders and deport illegal aliens and illegal immigrants. I know that not all illegal aliens and immigrants are criminals, some are good people, however, statistics show that most are uneducated and unskilled - it's not the upper crust of society that's sneaking across the borders. We have enough problems without scum like this spilling over at alarming rates from another country. Mr. President, please get this crap out of my backyard. Maybe I'm slow, or maybe our elected representatives are completely out of touch with the majority of Americans. If you're sitting there, like me, scratching your head and boiling mad about the immigration and illegal alien issues, and wondering how anyone can vote for a guest worker program or against closing the borders or against deportation, then it's not the lawmakers we should be mad at. It's the American public. Have you emailed, called, faxed, visited, or otherwise let your Senators, Representatives, President Bush, and our Vice-President how you feel on the issue? Have you told everyone you can to do the same? I guarantee you that if everyone that voted for an American Idol contestant this week got in...

This is an email that I sent out tonight to as many people as I could. Please do the same! Recoil. ...... I am getting really upset about this immigration issue. Neither the Senate nor President Bush are doing what the American people want. If we, the American People do not act now, and email, fax, or call our elected officials and let them know we don't want a compromise on the immigration issue, we want our country back, it will be too late. Most people do not realize the impact that illegal immigrants have on this country, visit www.DoubleBarreledOpinions.com for more info like the following: -Each year more than 1.3 million legal and illegal aliens settle permanently in the...

I really liked some of what President Bush had to say in his speech tonight (May 15th, 2006). I'll just go ahead and give him a Double Barreled Salute. [Note 5-16-2006; after more thought and reading, I'm taking back my Double Barreled Salute - I think the President is taking the easy route out on this. He needs to stand strong and stand up for American, showing the same courage and determination he did after 9/11 .] The problem is that no matter what President Bush wants, it's the House and the Senate that will ultimately decide what is enacted into law. The House has passed a strong border security bill that I like, there's no guest worker provision, no...

Tomorrow, May 15, 2006, President Bush will address the nation from the Oval Office. His topic will be immigration issues. Today Mexican President Vicente Fox called President Bush to discuss his concern about the border between Mexico and the United States of America. There were also protests by both supporters of immigration law relaxation and by groups opposed to it. In Chicago, the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights marched on Saturday, chanting "U.S.A" and "Si se puede," Spanish for "Yes we can." The Illinois Minuteman Project, positioned ½ block away, wanted to send the message "No amnesty, no guest-worker programs" and at times shouted, "Check their green cards" to the Coalition marchers! Ana Maria Gonzalez-Perdomo, one of the...

Don't waste any more time, write, call, email your elected officials and tell them to support the original house bill that makes being an illegal alien a felony and calls for deportation of these criminals. Click here to Contact Your Elected Officials. Otherwise, this new agreement will probably pass and ALLOW ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO BECOME US CITIZENS. Email the link to this article to everyone you can. May 1st came and went. Depending on who you are and where you live, the impact of the "Day without Immigrants" varied from something in the news, to noticeable, to a major event. From my office windows, I could see a buildup starting around the Court House late in the afternoon. By the time I left work, there was a pretty good sized crowd. I found it puzzling that they chanted in Spanish... from what I've read, this was not the case everywhere... if they wanted me to listen, they should have chanted in English. Walking to the parking lot to go home, listening to the chants in the background, passing Hispanic people walking towards the demonstration, all wearing white...
