Walmart Catering to Mexicans
Notice I did not say Mexican-Americans...
I thought you would like to see a Texas Walmart's ad for Memorial Day. They also have Spanish broadcasts on screens, in their stores.
Now I don't mind targeted advertising for groups, but at a time when we are having this debate on Illegal Immigration it is obvious what they are doing. Not to mention, what does this have to do with Memorial Day?

CNN.com - Dobbs: Bush, Congress tell working folk
to go to hell - May 24, 2006:
Illegal aliens are more important to this Congress than securing our borders
and our ports, more important than those legal immigrants who have waited in line and
who follow the law. The Senate has added to the litany of lunacy that makes up what it
calls reform: Illegal aliens would only have to pay back taxes on three of the past five
years, they will not be prosecuted for felonies such as identity theft or purchasing or using
fraudulent Social Security cards, and unlike millions of visa holders who have to leave the
country to have them renewed, they may simply remain in the United States while this
Congress and this president give away all the benefits and privileges of American
citizenship.
... and that is what raises the hackles of Mr. and Mrs. America.
That is the only thing I can add to this brilliant piece of writing. Go thee hence, and
partake thereof posthaste!

Here's another article I don't especially want to post, but I think it might be important:
From the WashingtonTimes, which can usually be counted on to be fairly reliable:
The U.S. Border Patrol increased at a faster rate and apprehended more illegal aliens per year under President Clinton than under President Bush, according to statistics from a new, unpublished congressional research briefing report.
Mr. Bush trails his predecessor on a series of measures of border security, says the briefing from the Congressional Research Service to the House Judiciary Committee, which was based on Department of Homeland Security data.
Mr. Clinton increased the number of Border Patrol agents and pilots by 126 percent over his eight-year term, or an average of 642 per year, while Mr. Bush has averaged 411 new agents per year through 2005, for a total increase of 22.3 percent over his tenure.
Although Mr. Bush last week said his administration has caught and returned 6 million illegal aliens, that's actually a drop from any five-year period during Mr. Clinton's administration, the briefing says.
Meanwhile, the number of alien absconders has grown by more than 200,000 during Mr. Bush's term, reaching 536,644 in fiscal 2005; the number of completed fraud cases has dropped; and, until recently, detention beds hovered at or below the level Mr. Bush inherited from Mr. Clinton in 2001 (more)
The report remains unpublished; I'd like to get a look at the original if it's possible.
I'd also like to point out that Vincente Fox was not in office during the Clinton era. Fox has been encouragind, and aiding, Mexicans to cross the border.
Meanwhile, the Senate Gerbil Pork Sausage Pattie will hit the House in the next couple of weeks.
Here are the main points of the final bill, according to the NYT's:
Under the Senate agreement, illegal immigrants who have lived in the United States for five years or more, about seven million people, would eventually be granted citizenship if they remained employed, passed background checks, paid fines and back taxes, and enrolled in English classes.
Illegal immigrants who have lived here two to five years, about three million people, would have to leave the country briefly and receive a temporary work visa before returning, as a guest worker. Over time, they would be allowed to apply for permanent residency and ultimately citizenship.
Illegal immigrants who have been here less than two years, about one million people, would be required to leave the country altogether. They could apply for the guest worker program, but they would not be guaranteed acceptance in it.
The legislation would also require employers to use a new employment verification system that would distinguish between legal and illegal workers. In addition, it would impose stiff fines for violations by employers, create legal-immigrant documents resistant to counterfeiting, increase the number of Border Patrol agents and mandate other enforcement measures.
The employer verification might do some good, but the basic objection by the House is expected to revolve around the path to citizenship.
There are also no teeth in the bill, i.e., why would anyone want to go to the trouble of jumping through the hoops and expense of being a citizen when they can have what they want without doing it? Why would anyone volunteer to do the guest worker program, when there's no enforcement to stop the status quo...

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio Understands Illegal Immigration
The Reality Check.org says that "Bush's Tough Talk on Immigration
Falls Flat". No kidding. We agree with that completely. But the person
who really does get it, is Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, "who
had the audacity, in the Mexican government's view, to enforce an
anti-human smuggling law that went into effect in Arizona last
August." source
So here we have a foreign country meddling in U.S. domestic
affairs and threatening the safety and wellbeing of American citizens,
yet none dare call it what it is. One might also wonder why the ACLU
and other privacy rights advocates are not up in arms about the Border
Patrol providing information about American citizens to a foreign
government. they're more worried about the "rights" of al-Qaeda
contacts not to have their phone calls wiretapped by the National
Security Agency than they are Minuteman Project volunteers. The fact
that the Minutemen have consistently come under fire from the ACLU and
other liberal groups would explain the double standard.
California Governor Arnold Schwarzegger is going so far as to host
an official state dinner for Mexican President Vicente Fox this week.
Fox will also address a joint session of the California Legislature
and meet privately with Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez (D-Los Angeles).
The same goes for Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who Fox is
flying down to meet a few days later.
"RINOs" or "Republicans in Name Only" candidates and their
left-leaning Democratic opponents, the GOP base is fed up. In
Pennsylvania, 14 Republican incumbents were defeated in primaries,
while Congressman Chris Cannon of Utah and Tom Osborne of Nebraska,
both seen as weak on illegal immigration, lost out as well. In
contrast, the Republicans who have chosen to break with their masters
at the Chamber of Commerce are experiencing a surge in popularity. ...
If Americans wish to rescue their country from the brink of
oblivion, they will be ever vigilant about the integrity of the ballot
box. Granting illegal immigrants the vote would be the final victory
in the campaign to render American citizenship meaningless. And with
citizenship goes sovereignty. source
FrontPageMagazine has an article on terrorists that are already here
in the United States. How did they get here? The author suspects as
many as 1,000 al Qaeda terrorists are here, and probably more than
that. I suggest that some of them probably came across the open
borders, some with student visas and other legal means.
I received an email that has been going around the internet showing
how strongly people feel about the illegal immigration situation:
The phrase "cheap labor" is a myth, a farce, and a lie. There is
no such thing as "cheap labor." Take, for example, an illegal Mexican
who sneaks in here with his wife and five children. He takes a job for
five or six dollars an hour. At that wage with six dependents he pays
no income tax, yet at the end of the year gets an "earned income
credit" of up to $3,200 free. He qualifies for Section 8 housing and
subsidized rent, food stamps, and free (no deductible, no co-pay)
health care. His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school,
and require bi-lingual teachers and books that taxpayers provide. He
doesn't have to worry about car insurance, life insurance, or
homeowners insurance. Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs,
bulletins, and printed material. He and his family receive the
equivalent of $20 to $30 an hour in benefits, while working Americans
are lucky to have $5 or $6 an hour left after paying their bills and
his, and paying for increased crime, graffitti, and trash cleanup.
Cheap labor................................. My A$$!

The major media have preferred to completely ignore the fact that the organizational brainpower and manpower for the illegal alien rallies has been provided by a network of veteran, hard-core Marxists. They are not merely liberals; they are dedicated revolutionaries, many with long ties to U.S. communist parties and communist dictatorships around the world. They are not merely a few radicals on the fringes of the demonstrations, but rather key officials who are leading the charge. One of the most openly visible Marxist-Leninist connections involves the Workers World Party (WWP), a very militant communist party that for decades has unwaveringly supported communist dictatorships throughout the world.
Top officials of the WWP dominate the ANSWER Coalition, one of the principal groups sponsoring and organizing the demonstrations. Most notable in this regard is Brian Becker, ANSWER's national coordinator, who is also a member of the national secretariat of the WWP. Another WWP leader at ANSWER is Deidre Griswold Stapp, editor of the Workers World newspaper. Stapp was trained in Cuba in the 1960s and '70s as a member of the Venceremos Brigades, an important adjunct of Fidel's Tri-continental terrorist training apparatus. Still another WWP veteran in ANSWER's leadership is Andy McInerney, a staff writer for the Workers World. WWP organizers and ANSWER's yellow and black signs (in Spanish and English) calling for full amnesty for the millions of illegal aliens in the U.S. have been prevalent in the demonstrations from coast to coast. These WWP cadres are not mere functionaries at ANSWER, but policymakers. Likewise for another militant comrade in ANSWER's top leadership, Macrina Cardenas, head of Mexicans Without Borders, who is one of the often-quoted spokespersons for the illegal alien demonstrations. Cardenas has aligned her organization with the communist EZLN "Zapatista Army" of Mexico and has marched in solidarity with EZLN chief "Subcommandante Marcos." Cardenas refers to her forces as a "reserve army" within the United States.
If you are fighting for a path to citizenship for those here illegally and open borders, you are an Ally of the Communist movement. Is that something you are comfortable with being a part of? Does this make you re-think the concept? It should, because you have to ask yourself what is the motivation for these anti-American groups? Well you have to know it isn't to promote American ideals, or capitalism. These groups, and people, exist for only one reason to bring about a communist revolution in the USA.
Whether true or not, these groups believe these illegal Aliens, if made legal, will help them create a communist USA. Just another good reason to be tough on those here illegally.
Here My Official Immigration plan:
Secure the border by any means necessary. This includes the Military.
Stiff penalties for employers, which are actually enforced.
No taxpayer funded programs for illegals or their families. (including school for children of illegals and non-emergency medical care for any illegal)
No "Anchor Babies" (no automatic citizenship for children of illegals born in the US)
No path to Citizenship in any name or form for those here illegally.
No Guest worker program until the above measures are put in place and the need can be PROVEN
English only education and the official language of the USA
Tough, but just, and it will work.

So Who's Behind Those Immigration Protests?
Nicholas Von Hoffman has an opinion piece in the New York Observer that I wish to share with everyone.
Von Hoffman writes a nice piece, although being opinion it is biased. I expected him, especially with his opening to actually get to the root of what/who was behind the recent protests and illegal immigration movement. I couldn't have been further from the truth.
Von Hoffman says:
For that we have F. James Sensenbrenner, a musical-comedy Congressman from Wisconsin, to thank
It is the zealots that have created this problem. As he said earlier in his piece, radio stations, news etc. don't have the effect on people to get them up and about, then participate into something of this size or magnitude. In that he is correct, but where he blames Sensenbrenner and the silly Right-wing; he fails to mention the true culprits behind the organization.
Byron York, in a piece from the May 8th issue of National Review offers the true face of the force behind the rallies. This quoted material below are glances at placards during the Washington D.C. rally of April 10:
"We Are America." Below those words, in smaller letters, was the name "New American Opportunity Campaign," and below that was a web address, www.cirnow.org.
Who are they he wonders and of course, so do I. York fills in the blanks:
"Comprehensive Immigration Reform Now" (cirnow.org) -- leads to a site for the New American Opportunity Campaign, which in turn leads to a request for donations to an organization called the Coalition for Comprehensive Immigration Reform. "Opportunities should be provided for undocumented immigrants currently living in the U.S. to receive work permits and travel permission and access educational opportunities once they undergo background and security checks," says the groups' platform. "Those who want to settle in the United States should be eligible for permanent residence and citizenship." Both organizations list the same address: 1775 K Street NW, Suite 620, in downtown Washington.
The second of the two organizations is, "UNITE HERE or Union of Needletrades, Industrial, and Textile Employees, and the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees International Union." The two unions merged a few years ago; joining the merged union, is Service Employees International Union (SEIU).
This is all about the political power of the unions, with autoworkers unions membership flailing; these are the new powerhouses, at least they hope. So we certainly do have people marching for rights; but they are also pawns.

Title: Retire Mexico
One of the biggest divides in the immigration debate is whether or not to freely gift U.S. citizenship to over 12 million illegal immigrants already in this nation and their family members.
Did all of these people really come to America to become citizens? Or did they come merely to earn a better living and then return home?
We hear from one side of the debate that these people are just here to work and they should be treated with dignity and respect. That's fine with me. But out of the same mouths we hear that we should allow them to become citizens and thus have access to all of our Federal, State, and local benefits.
If the majority of these people simply come here to work, to send money back home, and to retire in the country of their origin, why is our Senate hell-bent on handing them guaranteed retirement benefits equal to that of American citizens.
The average wage in Mexico is approximately $70 to $100 per week. Our Social Security benefits are near $1,000 per month for even a modest workers income. So, these workers could retire quite nicely in Mexico courtesy of America.
The way I see it is that an illegal immigrant who had no intention of ever becoming an American citizen but wanted to work here for a time and then go home, would be an absolute fool to pass up this offer.
And don't think that the Mexican government hasn't thought about this one, folks.
The Washington Post
SALT LAKE CITY, May 24 -- Adding a voice from south of the border to the national debate on immigration, Mexican President Vicente Fox is barnstorming the western United States this week, arguing against fencing off the U.S.-Mexico border and asking Americans for "decent treatment of our people."
But the Mexican leader's most rapturous reception in Utah came in meetings with immigrants from Mexico and other Latin countries. Each time he met with groups of his countrymen, Fox told them that their long-term ties to Mexico will continue while they live and work in the United States.
"Even though you are far from Mexico, you are an integral part of Mexico," Fox said at the rally here on Tuesday. "Over there, we wait for you with open arms."
There are a couple of fantastic benefits to the Mexican government in this bogus "earned citizenship", amnesty program.
First, of course, is the fact that Mexico now depends on the monies sent home by its citizens as their remittances have become the nations largest source of income for Mexico.
Second, Mexico allows its citizens to obtain dual citizenship and calls on their citizens to vote in the interest of Mexico at the polls in America.
Third, Mexico will welcome home, "with open arms", all of its citizens who wish to bring their Social Security payments from America.
Yes, this amnesty bill is great news and offers fantastic economic and political perks for Mexico and its citizens.
Would someone please remind our Senators that they were elected to protect the economic and political needs of America?
