Sarah Palin in Elon, NC I don't buy all the gossip that's spewing forth about Governor Sarah Palin. I think it's unprofessional, tacky and outrageous on the part of the former McCain campaign staffers. Of course they're all "anonymous" reports. I'm definitely disappointed with the election. But, we have a great country in that we can have elections and choose our leaders without bloodshed. I hope that Barack Obama will be a good President and not repeat the mistakes of Democratic Presidents of the past. I hope that not one single Supreme Court Justice dies or retires for four years. Sarah Palin Rally at Elon University, NC 10-16-2008 I went to the Sarah Palin rally this afternoon in Elon, NC, my almer mata. Man it was HOT. Lucky to be Alive? Where is the topic of abortion in this election? Why is that topic not being discussed more in this election? I agree that the economy is important, but it has dwarfed the normal issues that are raised during an election. I've heard abortion alluded to by Sarah Palin, but I think that's about it. Republicans are getting frustrated with the progress of the John McCain campaign and are voicing that frustration in appropriate and inappropriate ways at campaign rallies. I applaud Senator McCain for trying to reel in the extremism and keep the pot from boiling over. Senator Obama seems to be made of titanium and Teflon and possesses almost hypnotic orator abilities. Here's a shocker folks (no, not really). The actually shocker is how many people don't care. Below is a news story posted on Fox News on October 10, 2008. Now, combine things like this with the reports surfacing about the hacking of the World Bank's computer systems. Hacking that's been going on for 6 months to a year. It may take some time to find out who exactly was behind the hacking, if ever, and what the information obtained was used for. But it makes me wonder. Vice Presidential Candidate Governor Sarah Palin was invited, and agreed, to speak at a protest really in New York on September 22. The purpose of the rally is to protest Iranian President Mahmound Ahmadinejad and his nuclear programs and terrorism. Pretty important stuff right? I see a lot of black people driving cars with Obama bumper stickers. Don't get me wrong, I see non-black people with them too. However, I see a lot of black people with Obama bumper stickers; more than I think had presidential candidate bumper stickers in the last few elections. I realize that is a very unscientific calculation, but it's my gut feeling. It makes me wonder how many people plan on voting for Obama and are supporting Obama for the sole reason that he's black.
