Tell the U.S. Senate No Driver's Licenses for Illegal Aliens. Alert: Sen. Barack Obama easily won the African American vote in South Carolina, but to woo California Latinos, where he is running 3-to-1 behind rival Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, he is taking a giant risk: spotlighting his support for the red-hot issue of granting driver's licenses to illegal immigrants. It's a huge issue for Latinos, who want them. It's also a huge issue for the general electorate, which most vehemently does not. Obama's stand could come back to haunt him not only in a general election, but with other voters in California, where driver's licenses for illegal immigrants helped undo former Gov. Gray Davis. Clinton stumbled into that minefield in...

Tell Senator McCain WE want Secured Borders. Alert: Word of the appointment, made in November, spread across the Internet last night, sparking reaction from secure-border activists who charge Juan Hernandez's position in the campaign belies the Republican candidate's attempt to position himself as an advocate of border security. McCain campaign spokesman Brian Rogers emphasized that Hernandez is "a non-paid volunteer to the campaign, and he does not play a policy role." "Juan works with us to reach out to the Hispanic community to meet with the folks in the various states," Rogers said. Asked if the McCain campaign has repudiated Hernandez's "Mexico first" declarations, Rogers did not give a direct answer. Twice he referred to McCain's immigration position on the...

Tell Congress to Support the Secure Fence Act. Alert: Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif, author of the fencing provisions of the Secure Fence Act of 2006, has introduced new legislation in the House of Representatives to require the construction of double-layered fencing along the U.S. border with Mexico within six months. As previously reported, the language of an amendment submitted by Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, into the Fiscal Year 2008 Department of Homeland Security funding bill, H.R. 2638, specifically exempts DHS from having to build any fence at all. The Hutchison amendment reads, in part, " ... nothing in this paragraph shall require the Secretary of Homeland Security to install fencing, physical barriers, roads, lighting, cameras, and sensors in a...

Tell Congress they must protect American citizens and secure our borders. Alert: Violence along the border with Mexico will likely increase this year as the administration bolsters Border Patrol staffing and adds more fencing and technology to catch illegal immigrants, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said Tuesday. On Saturday, U.S. Border Patrol Agent Luis Aguilar, 32, was killed in California's Imperial Sand Dunes recreation area, run over by suspected drug smugglers as he was laying down a spike strip to stop their fleeing Hummer. Aguilar's death has drawn attention to escalating violence on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico divide, which Chertoff and other administration officials attributed partly to heightened border security measures. "Experience shows that the more successful you are...

Tell Congress to Restore $3 billion dollars to the Department of Homeland Security budget and build the fence demanded by the American people, RIGHT NOW! "Where's de-fence?" That's the question, following a December back door, double-cross by Congress that, in essence, gutted the much-ballyhooed "Secure Fence Act of 2006." "Where's da money?" Congress has stripped $3 billion from the Department of Homeland Security...the cash needed to build "de-fence." "What's de-fence?" "De-fence" in question was to have been two strands of wire spanning 854 miles across our southern border, protecting our land and border patrol agents from bands of marauding drug-runners, potential terrorists, and weapons of mass destruction, not to mention the millions of garden-variety, undocumented "guest workers." Some among us...

Rules, regs to be integrated without congressional review Tell Congress to oppose an Economic Merger with the European Union. Alert: Six U.S. senators and 49 House members are advisers for a group working toward a Transatlantic Common Market between the U.S. and the European Union by 2015. The Transatlantic Policy Network - a non-governmental organization headquartered in Washington and Brussels - is advised by the bi-partisan congressional TPN policy group, chaired by Sen. Robert Bennett, R-Utah. The plan - currently being implemented by the Bush administration with the formation of the Transatlantic Economic Council in April 2007 - appears to be following a plan written in 1939 by a world-government advocate who sought to create a Transatlantic Union as an...

Tell Congress to Protect our Citizens and Stop Sanctuary Cites. Alert: As Chandler residents regroup following a man's arrest in the rapes that terrorized the city for 18 months, immigration advocates are bracing for the angry tide over illegal immigration to wash over the Valley again. From talk radio to lunch-time talk, Santana Batiz Aceves' status as a Mexican national who was deported twice before his weekend arrest in the "Chandler Rapist" case will be cited by both those who advocate a hard-line stance on immigration and those who are sympathetic to the plight of undocumented immigrants. Experts agree that as details of the reported series of attacks on young girls emerge, they will harden the public's attitude toward illegal...

Tell Congress to Build the Fence. Alert: The U.S. Border Patrol confirmed 29 recorded incursions into the U.S. by Mexican military or other government agents in the last 12 months, according to a report made public Wednesday by a watchdog group. Judicial Watch, a conservative, U.S.-based public interest group, said in a news release that Mexican officials were armed in 17 of the 29 incursions during the fiscal year between October 2005 to October 2006. The group obtained the information through a request under the Freedom of Information Act. The report includes a description of a January 2006 confrontation between Texas officials and several armed men in military uniforms who were seen in a military Humvee near Fort Hancock, Texas....

Government report documents dozens of armed campaigns in Texas, Arizona Tell Congress to Fund the Fence. Alert: A federal document obtained and released by Judicial Watch reveals that there were dozens of armed incursions by Mexican soldiers and police into the United States during Fiscal Year 2007. The report was obtained by the Washington-based organization that investigates and prosecutes government corruption and it documents 29 confirmed incidents along the U.S.-Mexican border involving Mexican military and/or law enforcement personnel during that time. "These documents not only show the dangerous and chaotic situation at the Mexican border, but also the complicity of some Mexican government agents in violating U.S. law," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "The U.S. government must begin to...

Tell Congress to build the border fence. Alert: In a quiet act of defiance, the Senate approved a $555 billion omnibus spending bill that removed legal requirements mandating the federal government fund 854 miles of a double layer border fence spanning America's southwestern border. The funding requirement was codified into law when Congress passed, and President George W. Bush signed, the Secure Fence Act (SFA) in 2006. When the spending bill, which combines appropriations for a number of federal agencies, reached the Senate, Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Tex.) attached S.Amdt. 2466 to the measure in order to silently gut the SFA's spending requirement. The Hutchison amendment reads, "Nothing in this paragraph shall require the secretary of homeland security to install...

Tell Congress to Save Our Sovereignty by passing the English in the Workplace Act. Alert: The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has taken action against a Salvation Army thrift store in Framingham, Massachusetts BECAUSE THE STORE REQUIRED EMPLOYEES TO SPEAK ENGLISH ON THE JOB! They even gave everyone a year to learn English. Two refused and were fired. This EEOC action is not an isolated incident. The EEOC took action against 200 businesses this past year because they simply wished to require their employees to speak English on the job. This campaign of federal government harassment must STOP! However, somebody is saying NO MORE! ENOUGH! Senator Lamar Alexander has introduced a bill that -- if passed -- would stop the...
