Military Dumping Injured Soldier's Benefits...
We should all be shocked and outraged by this treatment of our injured military personal: http://www.thenation.com/doc/20070409/kors. It's a long article that details an investigation into the military tricking injured soldiers into taking a Chapter 5-13 personality disorder for pre-existing condition discharge and thereby loosing their medical benefits... all to save the military money because they don't have to provide medical care to soldiers discharged with a pre-existing personality disorder. Soldiers discharged under Chapter 5-13 can't collect disability pay. Also, if a soldier dismissed under Chapter 5-13 hasn't served out his contract, he has to give back part of his re-enlistment bonus. That amount is often larger than the soldier's final paycheck. We should do all we can to bring this...
