Minuteman Project caravan met by pro immigration protesters in the U.S. Capitol.

These are two organizations that are trying to do something about this huge problem.

The Minuteman Project started a convoy on May 3rd in California that ended in Washington, DC on May 12 to bring awareness to the need to increase spending and have active military involvement on the U.S.-Mexican border, where hundreds of thousands of migrants enter the country illegally each year. When the convoy arrived in the capitol they were met with protesters.

Millions of immigrants, mostly Hispanic, have taken to the streets in massive protests to demand greater civil rights in recent weeks. Minutemen founder Jim Gilchrist said such protests underlined the growing threat posed by the estimated 11.5 to 12 million illegal immigrants now in the country.

Gilchrist: "They are not assembling to protect their rights. They are assembling to strip us of our rights".
