Immigration Protests of May 1, 2006

Immigration:
I'm disgusted by the whole thing. This is the topic that got Buckshot and me so wound up we decided to make this web site.

I work with and know some very fine people who immigrated to this country legally. They are good people; they contribute to this country in a lot of positive ways. They don't try to make THIS country into their old country, but rather ,they want to become, and have for the most part, AMERICANS. My frustration and anger is directed towards those immigrant, both legal and illegal, that want to turn the United States of America into the United States of Mexico.

I knew our immigration policies were lacking, and that our border control was slack, and our enforcement of immigration laws a joke, but the protests on May 1, 2006 SHOULD BE A WAKE UP CALL FOR EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN.

This country has been, and is being invaded. It's happening at a slow pace, it's not like they dropped by parachute from the sky 10,000 at a time, but rather they've been sneaking in across the borders a truck load at a time.

When you see protests like we witnessed on May 1, 2006, when you see that many illegal immigrants chanting in a foreign language that they will become citizens and that they want, no demand, amnesty for being here illegally, it should make every American Citizen stop and take action.

And they sang the National Anthem, OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM, in Spanish.

You didn't see much about this on the news...Flags flying at Montebello High School in CA. On 3/28/2006, area students put up the Mexican flag on the UPSIDE DOWN AMERICAN FLAG. YES, YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY, they took down the American flag, and replaced it with the flag of Mexico and then put the American flag under it, upside down. Click here for the whole story.

These criminals (even if they are school age) should be ARRESTED and ESCORTED to the border and shoved across it. My grandfather carried around shrapnel his whole life from WWII, he walked into hell in the Invasion of Normandy and somehow lived through it. THE FREEDOM THAT OUR FOREFATHERS FOUGHT FOR, AND OUR CURRENT SOLDERS FIGHT FOR, IS NOT TO BE GIVEN AWAY TO PEOPLE THAT JUST WANDER ACROSS THE BORDER AND MAKE A MOCKERY OF OUR COUNTRY, AND OUR LAWS.

I hope that all Americans understood the true meaning of the demonstrations and see that we must take action and we must do it now. Write, Email, or Call your elected officials at all levels of government and demand that we stand up for this country by strengthening and enforcing our immigration laws, while we can still call it the United States of America.
