CAII Friday Wrap Up...

The Coalition Against Illegal Immigration Thursday Wrap up! From:Human Events http://www.humaneventsonline.com/article.php?id=15165 Here's the short intro to the article... Editor's Note: Sen. Jeff Sessions (R.-Ala.), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, offered a devastating analysis on the Senate immigration bill in a speech delivered on the Senate floor on Tuesday, May 23. Sessions pointed to shocking elements of the bill that were hidden deep in its text. These include, for example, that the employers of illegal aliens would be given an amnesty for cheating on their taxes, and that under the terms of the law the government would for all practical purposes have to take an illegal alien's word for it that he has been in the country illegally long...

The Senate passed the bill on Immigration Reform, DON'T GIVE UP!

The Senate passed the bill on Immigration Reform. It now goes back to the House. Do not give up. We must let the members of the House know what we want, and let the members of the Senate know how disgusted we are with them. Use this link to look up how your elected officials voted and thank them if they voted for the House's bill and against the Senate's bill - otherwise, let them have it. Please read the Thursday CAII wrap-up I just posted. There's a lot of very interesting information from the various blogs in the coalition. The first item from Wal-Mart - the Mexican Memorial Day flyer, and farther down where DeMediacraticNation says who's behind the...

From The Uncooperative Blogger http://uncooperativeblogger.com/2006/05/25/walmart-catering-to-mexicans/ Walmart Catering to Mexicans Notice I did not say Mexican-Americans... I thought you would like to see a Texas Walmart's ad for Memorial Day. They also have Spanish broadcasts on screens, in their stores. Now I don't mind targeted advertising for groups, but at a time when we are having this debate on Illegal Immigration it is obvious what they are doing. Not to mention, what does this have to do with Memorial Day? Walmart's Feedback Form If you would rather not provide us with this information, you may call us at 1-800-WAL-MART (1-800-925-6278). American working in Mexico

I received this in an email this morning... The following from a director with SW BELL in Mexico City. I spent five years working in Mexico. I worked under a tourist visa for three months and could legally renew it for three more months. After that you were working illegally. I was technically illegal for three weeks waiting on the FM3 approval. During that six months our Mexican and US Attorneys were working to secure a permanent work visa called a FM3. It was in addition to my US passport that I had to show each time I entered and left the country. Barbara's was the same except hers did not permit her to work. To apply for the FM3...

Mr. President, please get this crap out of my backyard.

Illegal Aliens Guilty of Sex Crimes. Here's a clipping from my local paper. Please read carefully, especially the last line where is states both men are illegal aliens. This underscores why we need to control the borders and deport illegal aliens and illegal immigrants. I know that not all illegal aliens and immigrants are criminals, some are good people, however, statistics show that most are uneducated and unskilled - it's not the upper crust of society that's sneaking across the borders. We have enough problems without scum like this spilling over at alarming rates from another country. Mr. President, please get this crap out of my backyard. Until next time, Recoil Court finds pair guilty of sex crimes Times-News; Burlington,...

If Washington is out of touch it's our fault!

Maybe I'm slow, or maybe our elected representatives are completely out of touch with the majority of Americans. If you're sitting there, like me, scratching your head and boiling mad about the immigration and illegal alien issues, and wondering how anyone can vote for a guest worker program or against closing the borders or against deportation, then it's not the lawmakers we should be mad at. It's the American public. Have you emailed, called, faxed, visited, or otherwise let your Senators, Representatives, President Bush, and our Vice-President how you feel on the issue? Have you told everyone you can to do the same? I guarantee you that if everyone that voted for an American Idol contestant this week got in...

Don't Give Up - Keep Spreading The Word - We CAN MAKE A Difference!

This is an email that I sent out tonight to as many people as I could. Please do the same! Recoil. ...... I am getting really upset about this immigration issue. Neither the Senate nor President Bush are doing what the American people want. If we, the American People do not act now, and email, fax, or call our elected officials and let them know we don't want a compromise on the immigration issue, we want our country back, it will be too late. Most people do not realize the impact that illegal immigrants have on this country, visit www.DoubleBarreledOpinions.com for more info like the following: -Each year more than 1.3 million legal and illegal aliens settle permanently in the...

Reaction to President Bush's Illegal Immigration Plan

I really liked some of what President Bush had to say in his speech tonight (May 15th, 2006). I'll just go ahead and give him a Double Barreled Salute. [Note 5-16-2006; after more thought and reading, I'm taking back my Double Barreled Salute - I think the President is taking the easy route out on this. He needs to stand strong and stand up for American, showing the same courage and determination he did after 9/11 .] The problem is that no matter what President Bush wants, it's the House and the Senate that will ultimately decide what is enacted into law. The House has passed a strong border security bill that I like, there's no guest worker provision, no...

No Amnesty, No Guest-Worker Programs.

Tomorrow, May 15, 2006, President Bush will address the nation from the Oval Office. His topic will be immigration issues. Today Mexican President Vicente Fox called President Bush to discuss his concern about the border between Mexico and the United States of America. There were also protests by both supporters of immigration law relaxation and by groups opposed to it. In Chicago, the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights marched on Saturday, chanting "U.S.A" and "Si se puede," Spanish for "Yes we can." The Illinois Minuteman Project, positioned ½ block away, wanted to send the message "No amnesty, no guest-worker programs" and at times shouted, "Check their green cards" to the Coalition marchers! Ana Maria Gonzalez-Perdomo, one of the...

The Cost of Illegal Immigration

This is from the Americans for Immigration Control web site. In 1986, Congress granted amnesty to 3.1 million illegal aliens. In 1990, Congress increased legal immigration by 40%, and granted amnesty to the illegal relatives of aliens who benefitted from the previous amnesty. Each year more than 1.3 million legal and illegal aliens settle permanently in the U.S. 90% of all new arrivals are from the Third World. Most are poorly skilled and uneducated. Each year, more than 72,000 aliens are arrested for drug offenses in the U.S. More than 25% of all federal prison inmates are aliens. In 1992, immigrants cost taxpayers $42.5 billion net in public assistance. Between 1997 and 2006, the projected total net cost to taxpayers...

Minuteman Project caravan met by pro immigration protesters in the U.S. Capitol.

The Minuteman Project: I salute this organization. Americans for Immigration Control: I salute this organization. These are two organizations that are trying to do something about this huge problem. The Minuteman Project started a convoy on May 3rd in California that ended in Washington, DC on May 12 to bring awareness to the need to increase spending and have active military involvement on the U.S.-Mexican border, where hundreds of thousands of migrants enter the country illegally each year. When the convoy arrived in the capitol they were met with protesters. Millions of immigrants, mostly Hispanic, have taken to the streets in massive protests to demand greater civil rights in recent weeks. Minutemen founder Jim Gilchrist said such protests underlined the...

Senate Leaders Revive Immigration Bill

THIS IS A DOUBLE BARRELED ALERT! Please read this and then, take action! Today (May 11, 2006) the Senate reached a new agreement to provide a path for illegal immigrants to become US citizens. Read about the whole mess below. Don't waste any more time, write, call, email your elected officials and tell them to support the original house bill that makes being an illegal alien a felony and calls for deportation of these criminals. Click here to Contact Your Elected Officials. Otherwise, this new agreement will probably pass and ALLOW ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO BECOME US CITIZENS. Email the link to this article to everyone you can. This is not a matter to take lightly. Click to E-Mail a Direct...

A Day without Immigrants, Let's Make it Longer

May 1st came and went. Depending on who you are and where you live, the impact of the "Day without Immigrants" varied from something in the news, to noticeable, to a major event. From my office windows, I could see a buildup starting around the Court House late in the afternoon. By the time I left work, there was a pretty good sized crowd. I found it puzzling that they chanted in Spanish... from what I've read, this was not the case everywhere... if they wanted me to listen, they should have chanted in English. Walking to the parking lot to go home, listening to the chants in the background, passing Hispanic people walking towards the demonstration, all wearing white...

Motorcycle Riders Defend Fallen Soldiers from Religious Protesters

See my previous post about Religious Nuts Protesting at Our soldiers Funerals (here's the short version) The protesters from Westboro Baptist Church (based in Kansas) show up at military funerals and protest, with signs and chants saying things like "God loves IEDs" (roadside bombs), and "Thank God for dead troops". The good thing about America is that the best in people comes out at times like this. We give an official salute to the men and, presumably women, who have taken it upon themselves to protect the families of our fallen soldiers from these religious nuts. The following is from the: telegraph.co.uk Bikers on guard at war funerals By Francis Harris in Kokomo Link to Original Article The sound of...

Religious Nuts Protesting at Our Soldiers Funerals

This is about as low as it gets... The problem with living in a free country is that you have to take the good, in this case the freaking nuts, with the bad. Everyone that can read seems to think that they can interpret the Bible and the misguided folk at Kansas based Westboro Baptist Church seem to have come up with the stupid idea that God is punishing homosexuality by killing American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now I don't condone, support, or care much for homosexuality, but this is the most outrageous thing I've ever read about God. I believe if God had a beef to settle with the homosexuals then he'd take it up directly with them,...

My Fellow Americans

I received this in an email this morning... I don't agree with everything in it, but do agree with a lot of it. ... WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT TO TURN ON THE TV AND HEAR ANY U.S. PRESIDENT, DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN GIVE THE FOLLOWING SPEECH? My Fellow Americans: As you all know, the defeat of Iraq regime has been completed. Since congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is complete. This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq. This action will be complete within 30 days. It is now to begin the reckoning. Before me, I have two lists. One list contains the...

Immigration Protests of May 1, 2006

Immigration: I'm disgusted by the whole thing. This is the topic that got Buckshot and me so wound up we decided to make this web site. I work with and know some very fine people who immigrated to this country legally. They are good people; they contribute to this country in a lot of positive ways. They don't try to make THIS country into their old country, but rather ,they want to become, and have for the most part, AMERICANS. My frustration and anger is directed towards those immigrant, both legal and illegal, that want to turn the United States of America into the United States of Mexico. I knew our immigration policies were lacking, and that our border control...
