Americans inherently possess a sense of fairness, a sense of right and wrong, a propensity for helping our neighbors and believing in a greater cause than one's self... or at least we used to. Unfortunately these traits are becoming more and more reserved for temporary display during, and shortly after, natural or man-made disasters. I've not lost all hope yet though.
Go to a Friday night football game and most spectators, and players, want a fair, competitive game. Bad calls by inattentive or incompetent referees, or cheating by the coaches or players, will get everyone yelling and screaming. As well it should. Any loss may be heartbreaking, however losing a game well played to a better team is different than losing because of cheating or repeated, one-sided calls by referees. This is what's going on in our country right now. We're being cheated and screwed and the referees are pretending not to hear us and throwing more and more bad calls at us.
The media is supposed referee politics in our country. But they're not. Journalists are supposed to report facts and investigate. But they're not. They're supposed to uncover and expose the truth, not manufacture it for their own agendas. It's gone on for so long now that the media can effect an election and public opinion with predictable results. They know exactly how to do it.
Why is the average American not screaming and yelling at the media? If this was a football game we'd all join in a very loud display of displeasure over unfair, biased, false, or just plain absent reporting by the media.
I think even Fox News has softened since the election - I guess having large blocks of stock owned by Non-Christian, foreign oil interests has its side effects.
As humans, we're predictable. We're as programmable as Pavlov's dogs. The problem is that we BELIEVE what we see and read, IF we see and read it enough. We've been used, polarized, and brainwashed by the main stream media... and most people will fight you tooth and nail to try and convince you that they're not.
As I talked about in my last post, it's now a full circle, starting with our public education systems, and then entertainment programming such as movies, TV, and news.
If the media reported the facts and investigated like they once did, back when Clark Kent and Lois Lane were the measuring sticks of journalistic competence, we would be a much more informed nation. So why don't they? Are they controlled from the top down by parties or individuals with our country's demise as their number one goal? Why do reporters value money over country? What happened to journalists who would lay down their life before they would compromise their integrity by reporting something other than the truth, or letting an injustice, inaccuracy, or omission slip through. Why does this all change based on who or what is being reported on? What happened to reporters who are willing to ask the hard questions to the people in the top positions (other than Bret Baier) regardless of their party?
Just like watching a heroin addict, it's impossible for someone who's never done drugs to understand why an addict keeps sticking that bloody needle in the few remaining veins in their arm even when they know it will kill them. It's just as mysterious and hard to grasp to watch seemingly intelligent reporters, and even entire organizations, sell out to other interests, unions, foreign interests, or refuse to understand that the policies of Obama's administration will kill this country. And it's going to be a painful and afflicted death.
I can't comprehend why anyone thinks raising taxes and creating more entitlement programs will make our economy better and help people at the bottom of the economic scale. To me, that concept is just as stupid and upside down as trying to stop cocaine addiction by snorting more and more cocaine.
As we rally our battle cries for the repeal of OmabaCare and for November elections, the "opposition" is cheating more than ever; we must to do the following:
- Don't give up
- Don't get discouraged
- Do not stoop to their standards
- Maintain Our Integrity - Give them nothing to use against us
The "opposition" will lie, steal, and cheat - we must not. We must demand the highest standards from OUR candidates as well, don't just assume they have them.
Until Next Time,
Fred
