Agreeing that wealthier Americans would pay more taxes under an Obama administration, Biden said: "It's time to be patriotic ... time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut."
Over and over history has shown that raising taxes does not help the economy. Lowering taxes helps the economy because it puts more money in the hands of those who will spend it. Yes, that includes the upper income brackets that the Democrats really start salivating over like a pack of wolves watching an injured calf.
Raising taxes takes money out of the economy. It reduces the incentive hard working people have to work harder because they see more and more of their income being taken out of their hands by a "mob" like government. It reduces investments that wealthier Americans make that in turn create jobs, which in turn puts money in the pockets of the lower income Americans.
Why do Democrats want to do this? Why do they ALWAYS want to do this? Because Democrats don't think that you should have to be responsible for yourself. Hey, it's not your fault... you don't need to work: we have a government program to help you, you just take the money and run.
So in Charlotte, NC this weekend Slow Joe said to vote for Obama because he's black and now he's saying its Patriotic to pay more taxes.
Explain to me why there are still people who want to VOTE for Obama?
No Joe, I think not taking advantage of the American people who elected you is Patriotic.
Speaking of money: Obama raised $8 million either this week. What about the immeasurable suffering of the Gulf Coast and East Coast residents after a string of hurricanes. Perhaps instead of taking up all that cash for more outrageous campaign ads and rhetoric, he should have ask for donations to help the people who have lost everything... after all, his opponent, John McCain is abiding by the campaign finance reform rules and can't solicit or spend anywhere near that amount of money.
