Obama Will Raise Taxes - McCain Says DRILL!

Obama Will Raise Taxes - McCain Says DRILL!

Barack Hussein Obama is on the campaign trail now that he's the Democratic Party presidential nominee. He's preaching among other things: raising taxes on upper income Americans.

Read My Lips Barack Hussein Obama: No More Taxes.

He's supposed to be a smart person, but it doesn't take a genius to understand that raising taxes is like putting water on a fire... it puts it out the economy. I compare it to a redneck in the grocery store with a crying toddler threatening the toddler with a spanking if they don't stop crying. "I'm gonna beat you if you don't stop crying"... WAAAAAAA. It just does not get the desired effect. When will they wise up?

Want to get the economy moving: Reduce Taxes.
Want to give someone an incentive to work and build a business: Reduce Taxes.

It's frustrating to work your tail off and have the government in your pocket taking more and more of your profits until there are none. Until you feel there's no reason to try so hard. Until you just want to scream. Until you're better off not working and just living on handouts. Ok, that last sentence is a little extreme, but you get the point.

If you want to give the government more of your money, then vote for Barack Hussein Obama.
If you want to have a chance at making a living, vote for John McCain.

Speaking of McCain, I like his stance on energy. He supports nuclear power and drilling for oil. Now I haven't read much about his stance on nuclear power, that's something I need to do, but I like his plan to drill where we have oil.

I know a lot of people don't want to drill in places like Alaska, but it's time we faced the facts. So much of our oil comes from outside of this country that it's a national security issue, not to mention the economic drain from the constant flow of cash out of this country in exchange for that oil. I love nature and hate to see any natural resource or pristine expanse of wilderness spoiled, but it's something we need to risk in this case.

Developing new technologies and alternative energy sources is and will take years. Utilizing our own oil deposits will buy us time and help keep our economy from going totally down the toilet. And yes, I realize that it will take years to develop those oil fields and actually pump gas at your local mini mart that was distilled from that oil, and, that it will not supply all our oil needs. However, I think the development of our remaining oil fields needs to be one of the prongs of a multi-pronged energy plan that we're actively pursuing now, not tomorrow, not next year, but today. It needs to happen at the same time that we're developing new technologies for other energy sources.

John McCain understands that you don't beat your baby to get him or her to stop crying. Barack Hussein Obama on the other hand does not. John McCain understands, firsthand, that you don't meet with, acknowledge, or cater to bullies and terrorists, Barack Hussein Obama does not.

The outcome of this election will have staggering and long term consequences if the wrong candidate wins. Make sure that you vote.

Until Next Time,
Recoil

"I know a lot of people don't want to drill in places like Alaska, but it's time we faced the facts."

You are correct. Let's face facts.
Our current consumption if oil is about 7 million barrels per year. Assuming that nobody else in the US buys a car or builds a house, that means that the oil in Alaska will last about 2 months. Two months worth of oil in exchange for a pristine wilderness? Bad trade.

If we started tomorrow to build the infrastrucure necessary to collect and transport said oil, it would be 10 years before we saw a drop of it. Too little too late? You betcha.

It is now being voiced around, as yet unproven, that the Bush admin has already promised the ANWR oil to China. That sounds like yet another sweetheart deal for his cronies, doesn't it? Tax money goes to Halliburton to build and secure the oil, then sell it; all after yet another hoax on the US population, to make them believe they are solving a national crisis.

Aren't we on to them YET?
